Depending on your personal situation, there are a few options:
Public health insurance is the cheapest option with the broadest coverage, and in many cases mandatory.
Expat health insurance is a great choice for your first months/years in Belgium or for those not eligible for public health insurance. It's a bit more expensive, but meets all the legal requirements for health insurance coverage.
Private health insurance can range from a small top-up to the public one, for specific care (e.g. dental) or a full health insurance package with wide coverage. This is usually very expensive, and only necessary if you do not qualify for public or expat health insurance.
